The Dog Ears library program is underway

MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — Dog Ears is a reading program for kids hosted by Mesa County Libraries where they can read to therapy dogs for 15 minutes without any interruptions. The program's goal is to help children who might feel stressed or uneasy while reading to feel more relaxed and enjoy it. The program is held once a month and each of the five participating library locations have a different schedule. Registration is preferred but not required.

The schedule for each branch is:
4:15 p.m. - First Wednesday of the month at the Central Library
4:15 p.m. - Second Wednesday of the month at the Fruita Branch Library
4:15 p.m. - Third Wednesday of the month at the Clifton Branch Library
11:30 a.m. - Third Friday of the month at the Collbran Branch Library
4:15 p.m. - Fourth Wednesday of the month at the Orchard Mesa Branch Library
