FRUITA, Colo. (KREX) — The Lower Valley Fire District (LVFD) responded to a house fire in Fruita Tuesday morning.
At 4:24 a.m. officials were dispatched to a reported house fire on Poplar Street. When crews arrived on scene, they found a home with flames coming from a rear window.
Crews quickly began efforts to extinguish the fire and searched the building to ensure no one was still inside. The fire was quickly extinguished and there were no reported injuries. The Fruita Police Department responded to help with scene control.
The American Red Cross was called to assist three people who were displaced by the fire.
