'Tip a Cop' raises more than $3 thousand

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Law enforcement across the state held their annual Tip a Cop event December 6 to raise money for Special Olympics Colorado.

This weekend, the Mesa County Sheriff's Department announced they collected $3,365, the second-highest amount in the state.

Statewide, the Tip a Cop fundraiser pulled in more than $33 thousand and all of it will benefit Special Olympics.
