GLENWOOD SPRINGS, Colo. (KREX) — Tyler Boebert made his appearance in court early Thursday morning. He arrived at the Garfield County courthouse in Glenwood Springs just before 8 a.m. and for the first time he's appeared in court, Boebert had an attorney.

Looking tired, Boebert often checked his phone as he waited to approach the bench.

Boebert's court appearance comes after he was arrested and charged in connection with a string of thefts. He currently faces four felony counts of criminal possession of I.D. documents with multiple victims, one felony count of conspiracy to commit a felony, and more than 15 additional misdemeanor and petty offenses.

When Boebert and his attorney William Trent Palmer approached the stand, his attorney asked 9th Judicial District Chief Judge John Neiley for a continuance in the case.

Judge Neiley accepted their request.

Boebert is scheduled to return to court in late July.

WesternSlopeNow will continue to track Tyler Boebert's case through the courts and bring you the latest.
