GRAND VALLEY, Colo. (KREX) — Many residents of the Grand Valley are on clean-up duty after a strong storm blew through Thursday afternoon.
Thursday's storm brought hail, heavy rain and strong winds to several areas of the Valley, knocking down trees and causing flooding in some areas.
The Bookcliff Country Club had almost 20 trees downed and some low areas of the golf course had standing water; the club's golf course and swimming pools will be closed until further notice while grounds crew and staff members begin assessing the area and preparing to clean up.
