SAN MIGUEL COUNTY, Colo (KREX) — The San Miguel County Sheriff’s Office is offering two separate $500 rewards regarding a pair of vandalism incidents in the county.
In a Facebook post on Monday, the sheriff’s office posted that San Miguel Sheriff Bill Masters is looking for a “punk-ass clown” who graffitied a historic old mine and mill in Tomboy Basin outside of Telluride. The sheriff’s office went to social media again on Tuesday, offering a reward for information about someone who hung a wire across two trees apparently trying to cause injury on the Wilson Mesa Trail.
“The deputies removed the wire but believe this egregious act could happen again and would like people in the area to exercise caution,” the sheriff’s office wrote on Facebook.
Anyone with information about either incident can call dispatch at 970-728-1911. The caller can remain anonymous.
