MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) — Montrose County has received federal funds for several emergency organizations.
The Emergency Food and Shelter Program, that is run by FEMA and the Department of Homeland Security made United Way of Mesa County aware that Montrose county had been awarded several phases of funds.
Cassidy Lujan with United Way of Mesa County told us where the funds are going and what they will be used for.
"The Westend Family Links Center was awarded in total $25,820. The Shepards Hand Inc. was awarded $42,807 and Regional 10 Leap was awarded $32,956."
These funds are important to the local community, helping people find a home and food.
