MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - A new face will join the 21st Judicial District Court in Mesa County.
On Friday, Gov. Jared Polis appointed JenniLynn Lawrence to the 21st Judicial District Court. She fills a vacancy left by the retirement of Valerie Robison. It takes effect on Sept. 28.
Lawrence is familiar with Western Colorado. She graduated from Fort Lewis College in 1989 and has been a Montezuma County judge in the 22nd Judicial District since 2010.
Lawrence received her juris doctor degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1997. She has practiced law in Wisconsin and Florida.
