GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — If you've got a live Christmas tree and nowhere to dispose of it, Mesa County has you covered.
The Mesa County Organic Materials Composting Facility, located at 3071 Highway 50, is offering to dispose of live Christmas trees for free.
The tree should have all decor - as well as its stand - removed before drop-off. Flocked or artificial trees are not eligible and will not be accepted.
Trees will be processed for compost production on-site. The compost facility is open Wednesday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.
