GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) - If you happen to be looking for a job and dream of being a firefighter. Well it so happens the U.S. Forest Service is looking to hire firefighters.
The USDA Forest Service is looking to hire 250 permanent seasonal firefighters across national forests and grasslands from Colorado to South Dakota. Lawrence Lujan, who is the recruiter for the Rocky Mountain region, tells WesternSlopeNow the forest service is gearing up for the fall season.
Lujan states, “These positions are permanent, seasonal positions and these are GS-3 through GS-9 positions. Some advance their career within the forest service or take a job for the first time as an entry-level employee during these hiring events.”
The hiring process will start on Friday to Sept. 24. Any U.S. citizen must be 18 or older to apply. You can then apply on usajobs.gov.
