FRUITA, Colo. (KREX) - Five new pieces of artwork have been installed in Fruita's downtown and the city is ready to show them off.

The City of Fruita Arts and Culture Board is hosting an artwork showing starting at 6 p.m., Wednesday, at FARM Fruita, 160 S. Park Square. Artists will be on hand to talk their work.

The artists and sculptures are Pavia Justinian's "Sigma," Trevor Hall's "Sentry," Terry Burnett's "Create," James Ken Cable's "Coq au Vin & Chick" and "Boundless" by Janene DiRico-Cable. The art pieces were installed on Thursday.

The sculptures are part of the HeART of Fruita Program, which was created last year as a way to bring rotating art to downtown Fruita. The program gives five local artists to chance to have their work on display for a year.
