GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The 2024 vice presidential debate between Gov. Tim Waltz and Sen. J.D. Vance will take place at 7 p.m., Tuesday, on CBS.

WesternSlopeNow went to the Colorado Mesa University campus to hear from assistant professor of political science Holly Oberle on what to expect for the debate.

"They're both probably going to be very prepared, to be honest. I think that a lot of them probably... that both candidates probably took a lot of lessons from the previous presidential debate, what went (well) for both candidates, what didn't work well," Oberle said. "There's been a lot of polling that has happened since that election from both sides, I think they're both really going to come out swinging. I think that they're both going to have a very different tone, is what I expect, but I don't expect anyone to be more or less prepared than the other."
