MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) — Mesa County Public Libraries will be hosting guest author and library advocate Shamichael Hallman to give residents a sneak-preview of his soon to be published work.
The book "Meet Me at the Library: A Place to Foster Social Connection and Promote Democracy" features Mesa County Public Libraries.
Director of Mesa County Public Libraries Michelle Boisvenue-Fox says the book plays a critical role in defining how libraries serve and build communities and bring people together.
"Hallman showed a lot of different libraries in his book that do such things. Some of them were projects from when he was in libraries as well. So, it's sort of this wonderful treatus on community and how libraries participate in the democratic and civic process."
Hallman will present his new book Oct. 6 from noon-1:30 p.m. at the Central Library.
