GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Whether it's skiing, hiking, family, or history, the popularity of the Western Slope continues to grow.
Between Montrose and Grand Junction Regional Airport, often 20 to 30 planes touch down and take off every single day.
Colorado Flights Alliance CEO Matt Skinner tells WesternSlopeNow Delta Airlines has been on the Western Slope for decades, but Grand Junction has gone without it ever since covid…until now.
Having the airline back means not only more flights with more availability, but possibly some changes in pricing due to more competition.
WesternSlopeNow went downtown to find out what people on Main Street thought of the news. Check out the video above to see their reactions.
There will be a total of four flights a day, both to and from Salt Lake City.
This will go into place next month.
