GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — With their 75th anniversary fast approaching, Hilltop Community Resources will begin remodeling the Main Street building they acquired in October.
The 52,000 square-foot building, once housed by Wells Fargo, will be giving Hilltop more room to expand.
"Hilltop, with the purchase of this building is really looking to consolidate in three of our different sites," said CEO of Hilltop Mike Stahl. "So, our IT spot out on Horizon Drive, our corporate office, then our Family Resource Center over on Colorado (Ave)."
The building will house over 100 Hilltop employees that are a part of their administration and support services. The building will also be home to several of their programs.
"All of the community-based programs. So, our independent partner violence programming, our early childhood programming, our family programming, that will come right here to this building," said Stahl.
The expected cost of remodeling is over $4 million. They are currently in discussions with contractors to finalize the drawing and permits to get crews on site.
Work is expected to begin in January with the goal of moving in next summer.
