MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) - Montrose Regional Health introduced Wednesday first of its kind with the introduction of Dr. Michael Paolucci, a gastroenterologist.
Patients will now have access to his skill in diagnosing, treating and helping those with gastrointestinal issues, Montrose Regional Health said in the press release.
Paolucci has over 27 years of experience in gastroenterology including diagnosing and treating GI issues, colon cancer screenings, colonoscopies, upper endoscopies and interventional/advanced endoscopy, according to the release.
“We are excited to welcome our community’s first gastroenterologist, Dr. Michael Paolucci,” Montrose Regional Health CEO Jeff Mengenhausen said in the press release. “Caring for you like family means increasing access to the care you need right here in Montrose. Dr. Paolucci is an experienced physician diagnosing and treating digestive health. We are happy to offer our communities even more advanced care, right here at home.”
Paolucci practiced in Colorado Springs before moving to the Western Slope.
“I’m eager to practice in a rural area again,” Paolucci said in the release. “I wanted to be at a hospital where I am free to make the best decision for the patient, and I am excited to be where the patient is truly the focus of what we do.”
