MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - An Illinois man was arrested after a traffic stop that resulted in law enforcement allegedly finding 41-kilogram packs of powdered fentanyl.

Around 5:30 a.m., Thursday, a Western Colorado Drug Task Force investigator noticed a traffic violation near F 1/4 Road and Interstate 70B, according to the Mesa County Sheriff's Office.
After the driver allegedly provided inconsistent statements, the investigator deployed his narcotics K9. The animal allegedly found the odor of illegal narcotics. The following investigation ended with the seizure of the believed powdered fentanyl.
Montgomery, Illinois, man Antwan Parker, 42, was taken into custody. He is currently held in the Mesa County Detention Facility where he is charged with:
- Distribute/manufacture/possession with intent to sell a Schedule I/II drug.
- Special circumstances import of 14 grams of a Schedule 1/II drug.
Parker is due in court on Friday.
