MONTROSE, Colo. (KREX) — Roughly 21,000 people live in Montrose, though the streets on Jan. 1 were quite quiet.
Let's find out what the people out and about were up to for the start of 2025.
I found Peg Evanoika and her husband enjoying some coffee, who tells WesternSlopeNow they are relaxing after a hard medical year. Peg tells WesternSlopeNow her New Year's resolution? Grow three inches taller and two inches narrower.
Natalia Sabino and her friends enjoyed some Qdoba on their way from Gunnison to the Ouray Hot Springs.
She says 2024 had its ups and downs but brought her together with the ones she cared about most.
I asked Jeff and Nicole Metzger if they had any New Year's resolutions while they were eating some brunch. Jeff responded with, "I'm looking for the New Year to just reflect more on my faith. I just want to share my faith more with the general public."
His wife Nicole told WesternSlopeNow she wants to be more present in work and personal relationships.
Over on Main Street, Brandon Vannooten is spending the holiday reeling in the customers at Ed's Fly Shop. Brandon says he's in school and working to graduate this year.
Yet another year now in the books! Let's make this one a great one.
