GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Colorado Energy Office has now started a grant application process for multifamily housing properties to apply for financial assistance as part of the Charge Ahead Colorado grant program.
The energy office's goal is to promote electric vehicles to residents of multifamily housing, who often have lower incomes, rent their homes and lack access to a garage or outlet to charge their cars.
Associate Director on the transportation team for the Colorado Energy Office Matt Mines says applicants can apply for a wide variety of grants.
"There's tiers of technology. Level 2 is kind of appropriate for workplaces, multifamily housing, that sort of setting."
A webinar on the grant program is scheduled for Jan. 14 at 4:30 p.m. Click here to register.
