GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — On Tuesday, Scott Betts and Greg Karly, members of the band Hot Tub Jazz, joined WesternSlopeNow to preview their upcoming performance at The Art Center (TAC) of Western Colorado.

TAC is hosting its Center Stage Music Series starting on Saturday. The winter music series is a three-concert lineup, featuring varied and exciting performances.

Hot Tub Jazz was originally formed in Boulder, CO in the early 1980s. The band features Betts on guitar and vocals, Karly on trombone, Troy Raper on bass and Sage Vickers on drums. The name Hot Tub Jazz was born when the four musicians sat in a hot tub at the club trying to come up with a name for the group. The band blends classic jazz standards with a contemporary twist!

Hot Tub Jazz is set to take the stage at TAC on Saturday, Jan. 25. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the door.
