MESA COUNTY, Colo. (KREX) - Gray wolves continue their way through western Colorado and Mesa County, according to new map data by Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
The map, released Wednesday, shows wolf activity has gone as far as the Utah-Colorado border in Mesa County.
The map depicts watersheds - a geographic unit that drains water into a certain waterbody - where collared wolves in the state have been between Jan. 21 and Feb. 25. According to CPW, wolf activity is recorded by at least one GPS position within the boundaries of the watershed.
Meanwhile, the map showed some wolf activity has crept into Delta County. Montrose County hasn't seen any activity.
