DURANGO, Colo. (KREX) — BLM firefighters burned the final 148 acres of piles at the Grandview project southeast of Durango on Tuesday, completing the project.
Tuesday's burn comes five days after BLM firefighters burned 100 acres of piles at Grandview and another 100 acres at West Dolores Rim on Feb. 1.

Rain and snow should help cool the ashes in the area over the next few days, but firefighters expect smoke to be available in the meantime.
