GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The City of Grand Junction announced Monday Canyon View Park's new tennis courts are now open for play.
The city is very grateful for the unity between the tennis and pickleball communities that enabled this project. It is thanks to the leadership, collaboration, and mutual respect from community champions... that this project has come to fruition.

The four new post-tension tennis courts make up a 16-court tennis complex on the east side of Canyon View Park. The recently completed portion of the project includes adding LED lights to the existing 12 tennis courts at Canyon View Park — and to the 12 pickleball courts at Lincoln Park.
Officials say the final part of the Canyon View project is installing landscaping around the courts, which will be done in the spring.
The city will hold a ribbon cutting celebrating the project's completion Thursday, March 28.
