GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Colorado Mesa University (CMU) invited legal scholar, renowned civil liberties advocate and former American Civil Liberties Union president Nadine Strossen to speak as part of its Dignity in Dialogue speaker series.

Strossen will sit down for an interview-style discussion about free speech, how it supports civil rights and why dialogue matters now more than ever.

Also scheduled to speak as part of the series are Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for the New York Times Bret Stephens on April 4 and Russian-British satirist, author and trigonometry podcast host Konstantin Kisin on April 19.

Christi Hein, the co-chair of free speech and civil discourse at CMU, told WesternSlopeNow, "Free speech is in danger and it's really in danger on college campuses."
