IMLS nominates Mesa County Libraries for national metal

MESA COUNTY Colo. (KREX) — The Institute of Museum and Library Services (or IMLS) picked Mesa County Libraries as one of the finalists for the 2024 National Medal for Museum and Library Service. This metal recognizes libraries and museums that do outstanding work serving the public and making a positive impact on their communities. IMLS works to support and empower libraries, museums, and related organizations through grantmaking, research, and policy development.

The Institute of Museum and Library Services is honored to recognize these outstanding institutions. We congratulate them on their collective effort to respond to community needs, preserve diverse history and culture, and create a sense of belonging for all Americans.
