GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) - The Grand Junction Police Department is investigating the unattended death of a male found around 10 p.m., Thursday.
According to a GJPD press release, the "suspicious death" occurred around the area of Third Street and Glenwood Avenue. Once on the scene, officers discovered the man with a suspected gunshot wound.
Law enforcement said this was an isolated incident and there was no threat to the public.
The Mesa County Coroner's Office will be responsible for releasing the identity of the deceased and the manner of death after appropriate notifications have been, GJPD said in the release
