GRAND VALLEY, Colo. (KREX) — The towns of Palisade and Fruita held public forums on Feb. 28 for community members to meet and greet their potential new council members.
Palisade's forum consisted of two candidates for mayor, Greg Mikolai, who is the current mayor up for re-election, and Bill Carlson, who is running against Mikolai. The Palisade municipal election is set for April 2.
Fruita's forum consisted of Matthew Breman, who is running unopposed for mayor, and the four city council candidates, Andrea Stolarczyk, Frank Graziano, Aaron Hancey and Richard Parrish. Three of the four candidates will be elected to city council on April 2.
