GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Cats League & Assistance of the Western Slope (CLAWS) has gone above and beyond to find treatment for cats with feline infectious peritonitis, otherwise known as FIP.
When cats are infected with FIP, they are only given a couple of weeks to live. CLAWS has partnered with a group known as Cure FIP that has developed a non-FDA approved medication that has been helping cats with FIP. Anyone with a cat that has FIP can get this medication, although it is very expensive, priced at around $1,500.
